    I thought it was a slinky at first. I don't think it's a cop out - detail pictures like this are so much fun - and I like the light.

    Boring is in the eye of the beholder - and I don't find it boring at all! A great shot is about transforming the ordinary into the 'extra'ordinary and you've done that here with your composition, dof choice and lighting.
