These are a bunch of ribbons. I can't tell what they are for, but I had a lot of fun picking them out. I am totally NOT crafty, but am hoping that what I am trying to make comes out okay!

These are the pictures in my hotel. I have actually been to the place in these photographs! Well..the middle one at least -- it's Brazil.

Also, I am STILL figuring out the White Balance (thanks Becky for the tips) but what a pain!! I change it, then I go outside and forget to change it back. As you can see from above. Top photo - incandescent, bottom photo - cloudy. It's a never ending camera adjustment!! So, this is an example of me forgetting to change the WB. Also, PS, I took about 50 pictures outside with my ISO turned WAY up. They are all very washed out. Crap! Oh well, I am learning!

I didn't really get pulled over. However, this police man was behind me and I couldn't resist taking a photo with my phone.

One Hundred and Nine
This was taken yesterday, but I couldn't choose yesterday, so I am using it today. I like this because the rest of the cemetery is gray and black and white. This is one of the only touches of color. It probably was once BRIGHT red...

This was taken in the St. Louis Cemetery #2. #1 is where the Voodoo queen Marie Leveau is "buried". All the tombs are above ground, since the water table in New Orleans is too high and if you dig, you hit water right away.

Mr. Lovely's parents are here and so we took them around the French Quarter. So, here is yet another photo from there. It will probably not be the last.

One Hundred and Six
I took a walk in the French Quarter. I really love the old crumbly paint and rust as well as all the fun colors. You can tell this one has been painted a few times.

These are pretty much weeds...they are everywhere! I am getting flower happy these days...

One Hundred and Four
These are right outside my office at work. They grow all along the pond. All of a sudden, they were all there overnight. It really is spring!

Another shot in New Orleans. I often pull off to the side on my way to meetings to get these. (sometimes I do it while driving, but I usually pull off!!)

This one is a cop out. I am still experimenting with ISO. It's my towel rack at my hotel. Boring.... Happy Monday!

Happy 100th post! My best friend got married today! Here are her cupcakes, which she had instead of cake.

This is in Old Town Sacramento. I liked the colors, especially the red on the bottom, against the blue sky.
Ninety-Eight
These are in my parents garden. It was taken at dusk and I liked the way the rocks almost match the transformers (I think thats what those are). I also liked the wavy line of them, like little marching ants.
Ninety-Seven
This is right down the hill from my parents house. The Feather River Canyon. It is a beautiful place. Note the snow, yes, SNOW on the mountains. These mountains used to be covered with evergreen trees, but about 5 years ago there was a horrible fire that almost burned my parents house and DID burn the whole entire mountain. It's so sad to see them so bare, but they are still beautiful to me.

This is in Greenville, CA. I don't know if it is ever open or not, but apparently they do epairs. I was drawn in by the blue.
Ninety-Five
My Dad and I were driving home and I really loved the way the clouds looked. I didn't have time to stop and get out and try not to get the power lines in the photo, but actually they lend a little bit of an angle or the rule of thirds, so...I guess it works.
Ninety-Four
This is me, in my Easter dress and track jacket (I was chilly!) I liked this because the light is streaming in the skylight behind me and the brown of the mirror, the door and the shelves kind of makes it seem antique or something.
Ninety-Three
I was in a public bathroom (hehe - I am sure people were wondering what I was doing) and I couldn't resist taking this photo of the light shining on the textured wall. I tried a few different ISO settings. This one (without flash at low light) was pretty high -- 1600, but it was warmer, where the lower settings were more blue.

Happy Easter! A little bit early. This was cute...the eggs were hidden for the kids and I couldn't resist. I like how the eggs match the birdhouse!
